About Cost Consult Ltd.

Cost Consult Ltd was established by John Gallagher in May 2018 to provide a quality service for both clients and contractors alike. Originally from the UK, John has been in the construction industry for over 25 years, both in the UK and New Zealand and has worked both as a Professional Quantity Surveyor and Contractors Quantity Surveyor. He has extensive knowledge across all forms of construction from residential and renovation through to commercial and industrial.

Having been in Nelson for over 15 years, John has developed extensive knowledge of the Upper South construction market and is well respected within the industry by all those he has worked with. With his experience from both sides of the construction “fence” John has the experience to provide expert advice and assistance. John specializes in budget estimates, tender preparation, project financial control, programming and contractual advice.

John is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

A keen fisherman, with two young children, John loves the outdoor possibilities that the Nelson Tasman region has to offer.
